We are happy to announce that we recently won a six-figure award in a bench trial on behalf of a client who was fighting to be confirmed as the beneficiary of a decedent's life insurance policy. Due to the court's Covid-19 protocols, the parties appeared via remote videoconference, so we were forced to present evidence and witness testimony to the trier of fact from our offices. In spite of the irregular circumstances, we successfully demonstrated to the judge that our client had the rightful claim to the benefits at issue.
